Preachers of Hate is a film about American preachers who have twisted views on what the bible has to say about other races and women. It is a documentary social realism and was released by BBC three in October of 2016. I understand that there views are completely constructed from their environments but I still believe there is a moral objectification about these so called "preachers". The first preacher we are introduced to holds the belief that homosexual people are Satan's spawn. The preacher is called Steven Anderson. He upholds the most radical and in my opinion the most corrupt views on society. At the Paris attacks he did not show remorse to the people who lost their lives and towards the families that the deaths of many effected. The film presented Steven in an extremely raw and uncut way. Such as his preach about the Paris attacks where he clearly mocks the victims about their taste in music and the apparent irony in the killings. This raw footage of Steven is to show how different their views are from the audience. Having an audience in the U.K it is unlikely to have any supporters which can relate to Steven's views thus building an alienation from the Steve to the audience. Thus with the audience having a lack of connection to Steve it enabled them to have a strong detest of the character.

Another individual who upholds the same types of belief but towards Muslims is Ruben Israel. He expresses his hatred of the Muslim religion and homosexuals in preaching on the streets. Again the documentary exhibits Ruben raw and uncut allowing him to say such lines as "There could be a Muslim living next and he could blow you any second". The content to which he saying is horrendous and abhorrent. Why can't people see that you should not generalize a whole religion, race, gender or sex. Less than one percent of people in the Muslim religion are terrorists so why should that less than one percent of Muslims represent the whole religion. The same logic also complies to race, gender and sex.

This film explores the flaws in free speech and wide spread bigotry amongst a small amount of Americans. People need to open their eyes and realise that there are going to be those living in America who are black, who are mixed raced, who are Asian, who are Muslim, who are Mexican, who are Chinese. America use to be known as the "melting pot" of cultures ; and it still so today whether the prejudice recognise it or not.
