Trailers and Audience Theory

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytTzLXX2Hek

This is the trailer to a new film named how to be single directed by Christian Ditter who also directed Love Rosie. The genre I believe is comedy and romance. the theme of the film are friendship, love, sex, being single and relationships. the film is about a women who has recently went through a a break up and is now with her friend having fun being single. The trailer uses personelle identification. using a certain event which has most definitely happenend to someone (breaking up) and uses that to fuel their film. This makes the film relatble easier to understand the characters and story line. My reading would prefered reading and im agreeing. This film will be used for entertainment values in the uses and gratifications. People may view this trailer in a wrong way thinking that it is wrong to do what they do in the film. This is apart of the reception theory and people may have different perception on certain subjects and it depends on their psycho graphics and demographics.

This is a trailer to the new film coming out in 2016 called dead pool. it is directed by Tim Miller who also directed Scott pilgrim vs the world. The genre is Super hero, comic, action and thriller. The themes are Breaking the 4th wall, love, friend ship, relationship, vengeance. The film is about a former special forces officer gets cancer and decides to start a new special rogue experiment to save his life this leaves him with super fast healing powers and then adopts his alter ego dead pool. The film producers have a lack of personnel identification. I believe this is to distance and alienate the audience and make the trailer more spectacular because its so unbelievable. This will create friendship groups or social groups because the film was a comic before it came out therefore already having a large audience before. The audience is put in a neutral positioning. The audience is left to them selves deciding if they like the character or not.

This is the trailer to a film called Fury. it is directed by David Ayer who also directed the first fast and furious, training day and end of watch. The genre is action, thriller, period action and drama. The film themes are war, violence, torture, Surrender, Friendship. the film is about a tank sergeant and his battles through the last years of the war.  There is surveillance within this film. Because although everyone knows about world war two and is destinations only little people have experienced it. This gives a true and gritty experienced on how the war actually was. Some people may have a op-positional reading on how the people in the tanks were displayed. Such as patriotic or jingoistic Americans may believe that american soldiers were never that harsh or cruel and instead were decent human beings. This also comes into the reception theory that everyone has a different view. The Film producers and directors (producer- john lesher and Ethan smith) displayed the soldier as ruthless and savage.
